Gearing Up for Summer

We grilled out for the 1st time a few weeks ago! Can you believe it, the first time! We finally bought one of those $20 grills that we had when we were really little. Besides calling dad 5 times to before we started, we were good :-) It was fun and it turned out great. If you like spicy stuff, use Jack Daniels BBQ sauce when you brush the meat.

We didn't even have any hamburgers so we used hot dogs, a turkey sausage link and deer sausage with jalapenos and cheese in it that one of Dusty's friends gave to him. It was actually really good. I didn't think I would like it since Jeremy scared me years ago at Matt and Sarah Guffey's house. One morning they served me breakfast and after I took a bite of the meat Jeremy got in my face and told me that he and Matt just killed Bambi and I just ate him. I cried and cried. But, I have since had my therapy sessions and can now enjoy deer sausage without any guilt.Dusty's birthday is coming up this Thursday.....and I will be on my way to Canada :-(
So, we will celebrate either on Memorial Day or whenever I get back. I bought hamburger meat, sausage, pork chops, chicken breast.....he'll have enough to pick from when we grill out. I bought a few marinades but does anybody have some favorites that they use?

Second Book Shipment

You might be sick of hearing about the book, but we aren't! :-) We got the second shipment of Dusty's books in the mail yesterday and last night we packaged them and this morning shipped them out! We are fast :-) People were very anxious to get them and we didn't waste any time moving them out. Dusty definitely wasn't through the roof excited like he was last time but I could tell he was REALLY happy to have this experience again. He has been waiting (semi-patiently) to get these books shipped out so that he can start to hear what lots of people are saying. So far we have read wonderful comments all over the Internet. Also, 2 sellers and Amazon is selling his book. Here are a few more pictures.

Kentucky Pictures!

I love this picture. They were all taking turns pouring the cinnamon and stirring the sugar. It was so cute. They were are so patient and looking at each other when they wanted a turn. Mom was making her freakin awesome monkey bread cinnamon bunt thing. I want to have some right now!!! I thought I ate enough in KY to make me sick but I guess not :-)

When I come home Blake doesn't want me to take his picture and he makes a game out of it every time. This time I got him! He loves it.

The only thing I got to say is Eli is too sexy for his socks......

Blake was going fishing in the kitchen. We caught a shark and then told the shark to attack Mike and it did!

I can't remember what song it was that they were dancing to, but these boys were cuttin a rug. They were dancing, running, jumping and just having a good old time.

OK. I can't remember this song either but every time you put it on in the car Evan goes nuts!

.....I mean really nuts....

Look at that face! Those eyes!

Evan reached up and gave Melissa the sweetest hug and just wouldn't let go. It was so cute.

Evan taking pictures of me while I am taking pictures of him!

Kentucky Pictures! Fun at the Zoo!

Evan loved the train. I mean, loved it! I hadn't seen him so excited. He was all smiles the whole time....until it was over!

It was like he knew that he could stand up with the train wasn't moving. He sat in his seat the entire time but when it stopped he would stand up and jump up and down.

He was so good in his stroller just kickin it with us and looking at everything and taking it all in.

Look at that smile before the train came!

This was after the ride before he really knew we were leaving.

OK. I am catching up. There are a few posts here that I am doing tonight. I will do my London and Scotland pictures as soon as I can. There are just so much to sort through! Anyway, enjoy the ones below!

Momma's New Bathroom!!

This is really for Jeremy and Chauntel so that they can see momma's new and improved and beautiful bathroom. I couldn't get over how DIFFERENT it is....it's like they tore down everything and started over........oh yeah.....they did! It still wasn't quite finished yet but it is gorgeous. Melissa, Nathan, Mom and Dad worked so hard on it. They did a great job. Everything is new, even the toilet! Those curved shower curtains give you so much more room I couldn't believe it. When I get a house I will definitely have one!

Momentous Occasion

I wanted to share this picture. This is when Dusty and I were at the pet store and I reached over and looked in a magazine and we saw his first magazine ad/feature for his book! So cool!

Dusty talked to his publisher and this month his book will stand out in another more prominent ad in that same magazine. So awesome.

Platform 9 3/4 in the London Railway!

Here is a little teaser from my trip. In the Harry Potter books the entrance into the Wizzard world is through Platform 9 3/4. They actually have a platform at King's Cross Station in London. (this is the station mentioned in the books). On my way to Scotland we had to get on a train at this station so I ran over and snapped a few pictures of it. I don't know if you can tell but the trolley (or cart) is half way in the wall kind of like it's taking you into the Wizzarding world! I thought about running straight at the wall to see if it would take me into Hogwarts but something just told me not to.....

It was too cute and lots of fun to get to see. It was a great way to end a great trip!
