WorldVitalRecords.com

The reason that I went to Chicago was to land some partnerships for our genealogy company that we are starting at work, WorldVitalRecords.com. We had AMAZING success! I went with a collegue, Darla, and we worked extremely hard but it paid off.

Paul Allen, my boss, started the #1 genealogy company in the world, Ancestry.com and now he has left that company and plans to start another company to compete with it. I am on the team that is creating and shaping this company and it has been an awesome experience even this early in the game. I am excited to be a part of it. We probably won't we fully ready to launch until a year from now, but we have a landing page up at www.WorldVitalRecords.com.

Here is my new business card.

One of the best things about my Chicago trip...

the Pizza!! This was soooo good. I probably gained 5 pounds per slice but it was worth it!

Calling for Parental Advice...

Not that I think Lissa and Nate need it, but I think that it will be funny...so have at it tell them what they need to know!!

Our Family Just Added One Branch to our Tree!!

Evan William Webster
Born: 6/7/2006 @ 4:32pm
Weight: 7lb 0oz
Length: 19 inches

Little Evan William Webster was born 5 WEEKS early!! I am so excited and I can't even begin to explain how happy I am for them. Big Nate and Big Momma Lissa are going to be the best parents in the whole wide world! (of course except my Big Momma Starr and Big Hugh Daddy and I guess Mike and Charla and Jeremy and Chauntel.....anyway, I should have kept my mouth shut.....)

By the way, mom and baby (and new daddy Nathan) are doing well. His little lungs are trying to keep up with that big 7 lb preemie body. Who the heck knows how much bigger he would have got in that last five weeks. I think Melissa was drinking some protein shakes or something. **Shout out to Mike: Big Body, Little Lungs*** I can say that cause I already said it to Lissa and she laughed--because we all know that he will do just fine.

When things settle down a bit I will get Lissa to post on here about her experience with having Mr. Little Evan William Webster. He is so loved he doesn't even know how much!!! Enjoy the pics and please comment your first message to Evan and Lissa / Nate here.

Wow! Long Time No Postski!

I have been super busy with work and super tired when I get home. I started a 6 a.m. workout class that is kicking my trash. Seriously. I love it though. Hey Mom and Dad...I actually get up at 5:15 on my own!! I bet you never thought you would see the day, huh? It's mostly kickboxing and they seriously work you out hard.

I go 3 times a week for an hour. The first day my instructor was starting the "cool down" except they don't call it cool down they call it "recovery". I was like sweet, I can't do it anymore let's slow this thing down. Then we got on our mats and she told us to get in the push up position. Then to pick up our weight with one hand and lift one hand in the air. So, you have two feet on the floor like a normal pushup, one hand on the floor and a weight in the other hand and you are doing tricep presses with the weight while you are doing a one-handed pushup!

I actually got pumped up when we started doing this because I seriously thought that my teacher had lost it, so I joined her. But MAN did it feel good to actually do that and squeeze everything out of me that I had. So we did like a ton of those and some other hard stuff and that was our "cool down".

I am feeling better and my back and neck aren't hurting me as bad. I think one of the best things about it is that it's only $38 for an entire semester for 3 days a week at BYU. BYU rocks!

Genealogy, I am doing it!

My work has been very busy as of late. One of the reasons is that we are starting a genealogy company. My boss, Paul Allen is the one who founded Ancestry.com and MyFamily.com. Since then he has left and we are starting another genealogy company that will compete with Ancestry.com (and eventually become the #1 genealogy provider).

This will be an opportunity for people from beginners to extremely advance to help up build the site and the features that we provide. I am the Research Manager for this project and one of my jobs is to speak to experts as well as amateurs all over the world, acquire content for the site and help design the layout etc.

If anyone wants to be involved (as little or as much as you want) just email me and let me know. If you know of those who do genealogy please let me know and give me their name and email or pass this message on to them. Actually, pass this email on to anyone you know who does genealogy. I would love to speak to them.

P.S. I actually am working on my genealogy but not as quickly as I want. I am so glad to be working on this project to learn more than I possibly imagined about genealogy and that will help me with my own.

If you want, feel free to share your genealogy stories here!

Keeping Journals

I have not written in my journal in a very long time but I want to really bad. I keep this blog but sometimes I want to keep a journal that is personal but "I never have time."

Can anyone give me some ideas or help on being better at keeping a journal? Mom, you have been doing it lately...any suggestions? Anyone? Anything?

Thanks!

These Ads

OK. So these ads are supposed to be relevant but they have been ads for tummy tucks lately. What up with dat??

Love the picture

I had to steal this picture of Jeremy, Chauntel, Jackson, Grammy and Poppy. You all look so nice. This was on Jackson's blessing day.

Help me pick a domain name...

OK. I am starting up a blog network thing for work (sort of) and I have to come up with a blog domain name. This url will host about 10 different blogs that I will be doing and the topics will range from like digital cameras to business to household products to dance to whatever I want.

I need to come up with a domain name for me (but it doesn't have to have my name in the url)...I am emailing you to call your suggestions. I am not thinking really clever right now and I know how random you are and thought that I would get your help. One of my friends that is doing this too just started halfmowedlawn.com (Half Mowed Lawn) for ADD stuff. Pretty funny. I have to buy the domain name soon so send me your suggestions when you can.
