Turbo Kick Baby!!

So in my last post I mentioned that I had to get back in the groove of working out. Well, at the end of October I am "auditioning" in a sense to try and get certified to be a Turbo Jam instructor!! They are actually called Turbo Kick instructors. I would get certified and then go around to places like Gold's Gym etc. to teach. The try-outs are at the end of October and I gotta get my butt in shape!! Any encouragement is greatly appreciated. :) I will let you know how it goes. I have all of Chalene Johnson's Turbo Jam videos and I think my favorite is Total Body Blast. 60 minutes of intense workout with the yoga ball. I love it! Here is a video from You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PR0072cBJU

Anyway. I have a long way to go before I feel FIT but at least having a goal keeps me motivated on those days where it's hard. I want to be a cute little mom that works out at the gym and teaches classes and has like 10 different pairs of Nike Shox that match every work out outfit. I guess my first step is to stop eating so much dang chocolate and pizza!! Those have been my two things lately. Holy moly I eat a lot of chocolate and we get cheap Pap Murphy's pizza that we love a lot too. Chauntel is a good example going to the gym and being so fit and Angela rides her flippin bike trialing kids all over town for the work out!

What are some ways that any of you guys stay on track with eating or working out?

(bowing head in shame) I've been so sick lately that I've not been able to ride my bike. I just end up weezing so I'm kinda on hold with all that to get health in order. But we're getting there. So don't think I'm all that amazing right now. Oh, but I'm so totally excited for you to try out. That is great!

I think it is so awesome that you're going to do that. I've thought of teaching. I don't have the personality for it or the drive to have a job. But you totally have a great personality for an instructor. What an amazing thing to get paid to workout and have fun. Totally do it. Maybe you'll find it a career oppurtunity. Especially being a mom, it would be a great job while still being a "stay at home mom"

Amy,

Reread Chauntel's quote...

"...you totally have a great personality for an instructor."

Everytime I think of you doing this, I smile because I KNOW you are (and were) made to do this. It just doesn't surprise me to see you "going for the gold" and going to a Turbo Kick instructor training day that you paid and signed up for - because you BELIEVE in it - and that's who you truly are. But though I'm not surprised, I'm grateful to see you reaching out for the kind of life you want to have, because SO many people are afraid of doing what they were made to do, for one reason or another - but that's NOT you - you're going to have the life that you want to have. I know it, and I'm excited for you.

I can already see you loving life, getting up at 5:30 everyday with a smile to go workout with a friend, and then heading off to teach a Turbo Jam class.

I can see you helping other women before and after the workout group, and just being a woman who inspires other women. Because you love life - plain and simple.

I can already see you with a closet full of matching workout shoes and outfits and all that other fun jazz that'll go along with it.

I am eager to see you follow your dreams and see you do what God made you equipped for.

Remember, you are limitless unless you limit yourself. So go get 'em, aight?
:)

I think that Michael was going to sign up to teach Turbo Jam until he found out there wasn't really jam to eat. I think he saw an ad at Cracker Barrel and got excited. Michael, what do you do to maintain your six-pack - awesome stuff man. Way to go. Shaq said you've been ducking his calls. I guess we'll see Michael's secret on season two of Shaq's big Challenge . . . Proud of you Amy
