Here is what my Dr recommended for me: Instead of going to my friends with dogs and cats, they can come to my house freshly showered and in clean clothes.
So your alternative could be Dusty moving his snakes into a shed out back (they won't get cold) and then having a decompression chamber or whatever at the back entrance that removes all the dander? of sorts so that he doesn't make you sick. OR he could sell all his snakes for a profit tomorrow and pick up knitting. I like that idea...he could knit snakes, stuffed soft wonderful snakes.
